Sophie Belinda Turner was born on 21 February 1996 in Northampton, England. She moved to Chesterton, Warwickshire when she was 2 years old and attended Warwick Prep School until 11. From there she joined the theatre company Playbox Theatre Company where she has always been a member since age 3; When her twin sister died before birth Turner said it “freaked her out.”
She grew up in a large Edwardian house near Leamington Spa with 3 brothers (2 older) whom had pigsties and barns while playing around in the mud nearby. At 16 years old Turner’s tutor stopped coming to set for Game of Thrones after achieving 5 A-grades at GCSE level including Drama which is what B grade Sophie got that year too!

Sophie Turner Career:

In 2009, Turner was cast as Sansa Stark on the HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones. Filming began in 2010 when she was 14 years old. This is her first experience with a television role and dyed her blonde hair auburn for it. In 2012, Turner was nominated for the Young Artist Award-Best Performance in TV Series – Supporting Young Actress category alongside onscreen sister Maisie Williams for their performance as sisters on Game of Thrones. She appeared through all eight seasons of the show’s broadcast run.

After dating American singer Joe Jonas in 2016, the two got engaged in October 2017. They were married on 1 May 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Following her marriage Turner legally changed her last name to Jonas; the couple resides now live Los Angeles, California. They held a second wedding ceremony for their family and friends on 29 June 2019 in Paris France. In July 2020 Turner gave birth to a daughter with husband Joe Jonas
